Vero Beach
While Vero Beach is classified as a city, it is a small one, more intimate and livable than most. Money Magazine rated it as a "top beach town." And the amenities, cultural, sporting, shopping, and so on, are noteworthy.
We think of Vero as two different areas: the Barrier Island and the Mainland. The Island is one of the wealthier areas in the country. This is an asset to the entire area because of the charitable and community efforts its residents bestow. The mainland provides areas of affordability with a wide range of housing choices.
South Florida residents are more and more migrating to Indian River County as the quality of life diminishes and cost of living increases in South Florida. For some, this is their second home get-away.
